The flying season for dragonflies is over. I fondly remember the emperor dragonfly (Anax imperator), which lives up to its name. I often observed and photographed it during the summer—the latter is not always easy, especially when it is in flight. When it is around, all other large dragonflies must give way. All dragonflies that get in its way are driven away. It reigns alone over the water, flying away only from birds. #myphoto
