@riesl I have a friend who was a fervent Musk fanboi. A gay man who has always been a "liberal". I drove him to the drugstore yesterday just as the clip of Musk throwing the Heil hit Mastodon and Bluesky. I showed him the clip, he shook his head, said "I thought he was backing Trump to protect Tesla and SpaceX, but I guess he drank the Koolaid.." I said, "He is the Koolaid, and you drank it. After all, Werner Von Braun wasn't a Nazi, he just liked building rockets. With slave labor."
